Business analysts are true midfielders, they'd have to talk with technology people meaning software architects, programmers etc and also to business managers and end users. Job as business analyst involves identifying opportunities for improvement to processes and business operations. The business analyst role is project based and begins with analysing the needs of the customers, gathering and documenting requirements and creating project plans to design the resulting technology solution. Business analyst jobs need understanding of the technology, but don't necessarily require a technical / computing degree.
