The Space Command and Control (SC2) program in Colorado Springs, CO continues to grow and seeking an experienced an Associate Standards Software Engineer to support Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) programs in Colorado Springs, CO .
The Associate Standards Software Engineer will perform as part of a high-performing team and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative technology in an agile environment interfacing with internal and external stakeholders; to include a Joint Industry partnership Team (JIPT) and Working Groups, contributing to the design and development of the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) Standards.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required), with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance and program access (post start). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
2 or more years of experience with Agile software development
2 or more years of experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools
2 or more years of experience with software development and / or troubleshooting software
2 or more years of experience with object-oriented design and implementation
2 or more years of experience with XML Schemas
2 or more years of experience with system architecture analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance with the ability to obtain program access
2 or more years of experience with open architecture development
2 or more years of experience with software architecture design principles
2 or more years of experience with software development incorporating Government and Industry standards, such as Open Mission Systems (OMS), Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) or other
Multi-discipline technical knowledge of complex systems and systems of systems
Experience working with Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E) DevTools and PRISM Project Information Management System (PIMS)
Experience with implementing and/or proposing changes to government standards
Experience developing adapters based on the Open Mission Systems (OMS) Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) standards
Experience with Spacecraft modeling and optimization algorithm design and implementation
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
