Job description

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a child with complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is a young girl who lives with her parents and siblings in Norwich who requires support with her complex needs throughout the day and night.

Family time is very important to her, and she loves being out and about taking part in her favourite activities such as horse riding and hydrotherapy.

During the day she attends school where she loves to interact and socialise with her friends and teachers.

She has a visual and hearing impairment and has a communication plan in place to aid this. She can understand lots of what is communicated to her and will respond in her own way, so it is important that you can begin to understand and interpret her wants and needs.

Her daily routine starts around 5am, where you will support her with washing dressing and getting her ready for the day.

Throughout the night you will support with her clinical needs through regular observations via a video monitor. She can become quite unsettled so will need her team to be vigilant, offering soothing reassurance to ensure a restful night’s sleep.

As she is totally dependent on her care team, you will also provide full support to meet her personal and moving and handing requirements.

Our ideal applicant will have a passion for working with children and young people to make a positive impact to our service users life.
