**Must be at least 18 years old to be considered.** Overview: Position Summary:As a DevOps Engineer you will work in a fast-paced environment with responsibilities supporting our Java and Microsoft .NET development teams. Primarily, this requires ownership of AutoNation's software delivery pipeline (version control, build automation, deployment automation, infrastructure provision using IaC, and monitoring). Secondarily, you will provide Level II assistance to our offshore Application Support Team managing production in AWS, Azure and On-prem datacenters. Experience with Java and Microsoft .NET application stacks is a premium. This is an onsite position located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL. Job Responsibilities:Build and maintain AutoNation’s software delivery pipelines for DEV, QA, Stage and ProductionResolve build and deployment issues in Azure DevOps for Java and Microsoft .NET applicationsProvision cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation, ARM Templates, and TerraformWork independently as a technical lead for assigned projects representing DevOpsAttend standups and meetings related to assigned projectsCollaborate with Development and Architectural teams to deliver non-functional requirements and infrastructure designCreate and maintain technical documentationConduct KT sessions to operationalize and transition new projects from DevOps to the Application Support TeamProvide Level II production supportParticipate in an on-call rotation Technical Expertise:Automation and DevOps: (2 – 4 years)Creating CICD pipelines for Java and Microsoft .NET applicationsProvisioning infrastructure with automation tools such as CloudFormation, ARM Templates, and TerraformProviding general automation using Windows PowerShell, Bash, JS, Python, etc. Application Support: (2 – 4 years)Supporting full-stack applications using webapps, containers, messaging, serverless, microservices, and legacy client-server applications architecturesExperience using tools such as Postman, APMs, Log Parsers, WiresharkInfrastructure Platforms: (2 – 4 years)AWS: VPC + Networking, Linux, IAM, LB, ECS, EC2, Messaging, Storage, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatchAzure: VNET + Networking, APIM, LB, AKS, SFC, Messaging, App Services, SQL, StorageOn-prem: Windows Server 2019, LB, IIS, MSMQ, MSSQL ServerFamiliarity with development standards such as MVC, client-side frameworks (Angular JS/jQuery), asynchronous programming, web sockets, web APIs, SOA, SQL and mobileBachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent job experienceMicrosoft MCSE or AWS/Azure certification preferred Next Possible Position: Senior DevOps Engineer Physical Requirements:Requires travel within the US as neededAbility to work onsite 5 days a week in the AutoNation Corporate Office (Fort Lauderdale, FL)Participate in an on-call pager rotation once every 8 weeks AutoNation is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.
