I have an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer with a Client located in Warminster, PA who is a manufacturer of electrochemical instrumentation and equipment. This Client develops laboratory equipment used for corrosion and materials testing, batteries and power conversion, catalysis, biological monitoring, sensors, and basic research.

Job Description: 

The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, production, testing, and maintenance of Embedded Systems. The ideal candidate will be a Software Engineer who is self-motivated, and system focused. Candidate must possess a proven knowledge of key languages including C/C++ in embedded systems and Windows. Knowledge of real time data acquisition and signal processing is desired.

You and your colleagues will be using modern software technologies and design methods to:

  • Generate high speed, high precision stimulus waveforms and reading back similar response waveforms
  • Use a dataflow and event based architecture to flexibly manage a firehose of information and user interaction.
  • Create DLL and COM based packages to deliver the instrument to a variety of applications
  • Code in ARM based embedded environments and Windows based GUI environments.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other instrumental sciences.
  • 1-5 years of post-graduate experience in Embedded Systems of Embedded Software Development
  • Experience with programming languages such as C/C++
  • Python programming experience desirable
  • Scientific instrumentation experience preferred.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional, but relaxed, development and testing environment. This position requires good technical English, and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
