We are seeking an Experienced Systems Engineer Electronics Lab Operations/Lab Administrator to oversee our labs located here in Huntington Beach, California . Come join us!

Position Responsibilities:
Support acquisition, installation and manage maintenance of laboratory assets

Support procurement and installation of new lab assets

Manage the transfer of capital and non-capital equipment

Process equipment identified for surplus

Identify equipment that is restricted for use to qualified operators. Determine the qualifications necessary to operate restricted equipment. Create, retain, and update, as necessary, a list of restricted equipment with identified qualified operators.

Identify, handle, report, and store government-furnished property (GFP) or government-furnished material (GFM)

Coordinate with Boeing Test Equipment Management and Metrology Department to maintain regular calibration and certification of lab equipment.

Ensure all security-related requirements are met for assets in closed-area laboratories.

Manage facility planning, usage, and occupancy

Coordinate changes to laboratory infrastructure (e.g., equipment installations, moves, lab modifications) with Property Management, Facilities and Asset Management, Q&OP Facilities Management, BR&T Safety, and site EHS to ensure all safety, financial, operational, and property management requirements are met.

Evaluate and identify any areas within the laboratory that require access to be limited beyond those users with general access to the laboratory. Define the criteria required to access these areas and maintain a list of users with authorized access.

Comply with BR&T laboratory safety, security, and operational requirements.

Ensure Laboratory Safety

Ensure operations within the laboratory are compliant with enterprise environment, health, and safety (EHS) standards, processes, procedures, and assessments; site specific processes, procedures, and assessments, as well as the BR&T Laboratory Safety Program as detailed in the BR&T Laboratory Operations Guide.

Implement the BR&T Laboratory Safety Program using the BR&T Laboratory Operations Guide for reference.

Report and resolve incidents using the established BR&T incident reporting and resolution system.

Perform risk assessment of facilities, equipment, and tooling changes to ensure compliance and reduce risk when facilities, equipment or tooling is changed (e.g., new, modified, relocated, repurposed, or decommissioned).

Ensure Operational Excellence

Develop and maintain internal laboratory documentation, (e.g., operating procedures, safety procedures, equipment maintenance procedures) as deemed necessary for the safe, secure, and compliant operation of the laboratory.

Ensure all security-related requirements are met for laboratories in closed areas.

Ensure training for laboratory users is consistent with the work performed.

Evaluate laboratory for electrostatic discharge sensitive (ESDS) application and ensure adequate controls are planned and maintained

Evaluate laboratory for foreign object debris or damage (FOD) and ensure adequate controls are planned and maintained

Plan and implement systems to improve lab 5S metrics and ensure compliance with BR&T 5S standards.

Use the Laboratory Operations Health Dashboard to monitor laboratory operational excellence. Take corrective actions when health metrics targets are not met.

Review job and task instructions with the laboratory users to ensure clarity of requirements, availability of materials and equipment, certification requirements, and mutually agreed upon dates of delivery and availability.

Manage task(s) performed in a BR&T laboratory to ensure customer satisfaction.

Organize and support laboratory tours and demonstrations

For internal and external customers, interviewees, etc.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post - Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

3+ years of experience working in or around laboratories focused on development of electronic components and systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active security clearance

Experience working in electronics development laboratories

Experience with laboratory administration

Experience with laboratory testing of state-of-the-art digital, analog/mixed-signal, and/or RF integrated circuits

Experience with laboratory testing of antennas and/or RF/microwave/electro-optical components.

Experience supporting military radar, communications, electronic warfare, or avionics/mission processor programs

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master ). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
