The brand new and spectacular Marriott Ownings Mills at The Metro Centre is opening a dynamic and "go to" restaurant called The Tillery. We are seeking a restaurant General Manager to oversee all facets of the food and beverage operation.Do you love creating REMARKABLE memorable experiences? If you said "yes" to the above, then please continue reading!The Tillery - anticipated opening December 2021 - will be the signature restaurant at the Marriott Metro Centre Owings Mills featuring local Mid Atlantic favorites and flavors as well as prime steaks and chops complemented by quality wines, a handcrafted classic cocktail program and local beers.We are looking for an experienced and motivational Restaurant General Manager with 2 years' experience in trendy or upscale restaurants to run this location and ensure the restaurant and the staff are set up for success daily!As the General Manager, you will be the "face" of the restaurant and have bottom line responsibility and accountability for the financial health and the development of yourself and others.You will set high standards to ensure that all team members are guest focused and team focused. You will foster collaboration in a positive work environment and solve obstacles through an open minded and all-inclusive approach.The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader with a genuine passion for providing best in class service, a keen eye for detail, and a talent for building teams and developing others.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: -Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate. -Assist in ensuring that the restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and associates. Check that all equipment is in working order. Visually inspect and take action to ensure that facilities in restaurant look appealing and attractive to guests. Follow up on work orders so repairs and maintenance of facility are completed on a timely basis. -Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in restaurant. Ensure that food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications. Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet. -Document inventory forecast usage and monitor supply so that restaurants are stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, china, condiments, in order to provide service.
