We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations.To learn more about CEMML's contributions to land management, our mission, vision, and values, visit http://www.cemml.colostate.edu/.Position SummaryThe Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) seeks a GIS Developer to provide GIS support to the CEMML project manager including data management of Army Sustainable Range Program (SRP) spatial data and application development of a web map application.Required Job Qualifications* The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date; CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.* An undergraduate or graduate degree in the following disciplines: geography, geographic information systems (GIS), engineering, environmental science, computer information systems, computer science, or related field is required.* 2 years' demonstrated work experience in ArcGIS data management is required. Course work will not be included.* Experience developing Python scripts to automate tasks in ArcGIS is required.* Experience developing web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.* Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain a driver's license by the employment start date.Preferred Job Qualifications* Working knowledge of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) is desired.* Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Department of the Army GIS, particularly with the Sustainable Range component is desired.* Experience using Geospatial Data Abstraction Library (GDAL) command line interface tools is desired.* Experience using GitLab, Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, Subversion, or other version control system is desired.* Experience developing web map applications with OpenLayers, Leaflet, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Google Maps, or other web map API's is desired.* Knowledge of Linux commands and bash scripting is desired.Diversity StatementReflecting departmental and institutional values, candidates are expected to have the ability to advance the Department's commitment to persity and inclusion.
