Working days and hours : Monday to Friday, hours working between 08:00-18:00 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours-per-week. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to work hours during these times.
Pay Rate:
£11.68 - £11.85 paye inclusive of holiday per hour

Job Purpose
Answer and deal with all telephone enquiries from Health Care Professionals, Service Users and Carers in a courteous, professional and confident manner sign posting as appropriate and necessary. Under no circumstances should clinical advice be given.
Responsibilities will include:
Completion of the registration of patients onto the e-booking system from the e-referral system To provide ever-empowering admin support for the health services to people in local communities, delivered by empowered staff, and working closely with valued community partners. Maintain appropriate records both manually and electronic for all referrals. Deal direct with the patients/carers giving information on their queries with regards to appointment bookings and cancellations. Deal direct with the patients and carers working within the relevant service guidelines. To assist in the supervision of the Referral Centre ensuring delivery of a comprehensive, effective Service to patients. Support a confidential administration service to include booking of clinic appointments through e-Referrals and RiO (EPR), accessing patients’ notes and reports as required. To provide additional support to colleagues in the event of absences to meet service requirements. Liaising with internal/external staff and other organisations as directed. Undertake filing of all correspondence in appropriate files to ensure easy retrieval. Assist services by drafting correspondence, photocopying and general paperwork. To provide additional support to include recruitment procedures as delegated, meeting and greeting visitors and other reception duties to include opening, date stamping sorting and distributing post as necessary. Ensure that all data is inputted timely and accurately to support retrieval of required information. To record data for relevant service on appropriate data system as identified by SCHT in a timely and efficient way. Data protection - ensuring the confidentiality of data remains secure and the terms of the Data Protection Act are complied with in respect of information held on the computer and manual records. Exercise the Rules of Confidentiality at all times. Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Demonstrable general admin and customer care experience. Good written and verbal skills Good organisational skills Database experience Computer literate (e.g. ECDL) The ability to follow administrative systems and procedures A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems A good telephone manner with an ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the service/ organisation. Ability and experience of liaising and communicating with clients/service users and people at all levels within the NHS - including direct contact with consultants, GPs and other clinicians. Team worker Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines; prioritising workload as a matter of routine.
