Health Care Assistant
Pay: £ 90 - £100 per day depending on experience
Timeplan is currently working with a large SEND school in Lambeth, who are recruiting several health care assistants to start ASAP. All positions are full time, ongoing, paid via the agency on timesheets. Working hours are 8.15am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday.
This multi-cultural school caters for a diverse group of 9-19-year-olds, providing encouragement and a positive learning environment. Students have a range of needs including ASD, Learning Difficulties, and communication needs. Students can also have additional needs such as complex behaviour needs and Dyslexia.
Shortlisted candidates must have previous SEND experience, especially with PMLD and complex needs. Responsibilities will include completing personal care, such as toileting, dressing and feeding, as well as supporting a child 1:1 to access her lessons. It is imperative you have excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with outside agencies such as therapists and nurses. Written communication skills are key, as you will be required to report on students' progress to both staff and parents. All candidates must have in date manual handling training.

Key skills and experience needed:
Experience supporting children and young adults with ASD, Learning difficulties and complex needs
Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
