We have an exciting opportunity in our Burnley clinic for a nurse (or a nurse who is due to qualify) to work in dialysis. Working within dialysis gives an opportunity for you to specialise along with building patient relationships whilst making a real difference to our patient’s lives.

Diaverum offer a fantastic training platform to enable nurses to deliver excellent quality care. Nurses new to Diaverum will undergo a 12 week supernumery period where they will be trained to deliver the care required within the clinic. The training is led by our own Clinical leads who will continue to guide you throughout your career at Diaverum helping you to reach full potential and grow. You will be supported by a senior team structure and have a mentor within the clinic allocated to you.

At Diaverum our patient ratio is 1:4 giving you the required time to care for your patients holistically. The Burnley clinic is closed on Sundays and shifts cover Monday to Saturday 07:00am – 18:30pm allowing you work life balance and flexibility. The facilities are kept to a high standard and have a full kitchen and staff area and free car parking.

ROLE;

You will be responsible for taking ownership of care programmes for renal patients, following the tailored care plans as per Consultant instructions and ensuring clinical activity is appropriately documented in the patient medical record. Further responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing and monitoring dialysis machines and systems in line with Diaveurm processes; reviewing pre and post haemodialysis care with patients; working in a multi-disciplinary team etc.


REQUIREMENTS:
• NMC Registered General Nurse
• Awareness and Understanding of NMC code of professional conduct
• Be able to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team
• 1 year+ experience in general nursing /newly qualified nurse applications are also welcomed

(Haemodialysis would be an advantage but not essential) - full training is provided.
• Have a positive and dynamic approach to providing safe and effective delivery of care
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Saturday, Shifts hours from 7:00am to 18:30pm and please note that there are no nights or Sunday working
  • Competitive Salary of up to £32,422 depending on dialysis experience
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full-time hours (150 hours every 4 weeks)

    Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 giving you the required time to care for your patients holistically. Our nurses work a range of shifts including earlies, lates, and long days between Monday to Saturday (No Sundays) allowing for a flexible working pattern.
