Sugarman Health & Wellbeing are currently recruiting for Care Assistants to support a young adult male client with Muscular Dystrophy and other Clinical Support to the level of clinical intervention required the care will be provided on a 2:1 basis. The right candidate will work alongside a Qualified Nurse at all times. You would become an essential part of his existing care team in this fulfilling and exciting role. This is a challenging yet exciting opportunity.

About the role:

  • Location: Ipswich
  • Hourly Rate: £13
  • Shifts Available: Monday to Sunday/3-4 nights a week flexible
  • Shift Time: 20:00-08:00
  • Contract Type: Part Time
  • Speciality: Complex Care
  • Start Date: ASAP on completion of recruitment process
  • PPE and weekly covid testing are provided
  • We are looking at employing carers who are passionate about giving the best care they can by enhancing our Service Users quality of life, by promoting their independence.

    Theory and Practical training will be provided free of charge to ensure you have the correct skills and knowledge to support this service user’s needs. This is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and progress in your health and social care career. Practical clinical training will be delivered by one of our nurses so you can learn first hand from their expertise.

  • Duties of a Health Care Assistant for this package:

  • Able to support with Epilepsy management and protocol
  • Respectfulness and be able to maintain professional boundaries within the working environment.
  • Someone who will go above and beyond for our Service Users
  • Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months professional care experience
  • The right to work in the UK and have the correct documentation for this
  • A full enhanced DBS
