G2 Legal are currently working with an award winning, national firm that is looking for a Solicitor to join its Newcastle based Healthcare team.

This role requires the candidate to be based in Newcastle upon Tyne or the Northeast of England region, as it is a location-based position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a diverse range of Healthcare advisory and regulatory cases
  • Providing expert advice on Inquests, with experience in NHS and Independent medical sector clients being advantageous
  • Applying skills in deprivation of liberty, Court of Protection, Mental Health Act/capacity, and clinical governance to advise public sector clients with a social purpose
  • Experience in CQC (registration, compliance, report, and challenges), criminal prosecutions, DPA & FOI being advantageous but not essential
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Associate with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Extensive experience in Healthcare advisory and regulatory work
  • Strong background in Inquests, particularly with NHS and Independent medical sector clients (preferred)
  • Knowledge of deprivation of liberty, Court of Protection, Mental Health Act/capacity, and clinical governance (advantageous)
  • Experience in CQC, criminal prosecutions, DPA & FOI (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be based in Newcastle upon Tyne or the Northeast of England region
