Technical direction and support is being sought for a private media research company ( MediaScience is the leading provider of lab-based audience research, incorporating a range of neuro-measures including biometrics, facial expression analysis, eye tracking, EEG, and more. With state-of-the-art labs in New York, Chicago, and Austin, MediaScience is discovering key insights in advertising, emerging digital technology, media, and consumer trends. Some of our current and past clients include Google, Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Microsoft, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, WarnerMedia, Viacom, Disney, Fox, and ESPN.This is a full-time, or part-time position that is responsible for the administration and support of IT systems at our Austin location, and providing technical and operational support to all users and clients to ensure smooth and reliable services. This immediate opening is located in-person at our headquarters in Austin, Texas.Daily Duties Support operation, technical and system requirements for on-site and remote employees and other end users to ensure that problems and requests have been appropriately documented and resolved timely.Support of IT systems and staff Support and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and cloud services G-Suite Enterprise service support Cloud service support (GCP, AWS, DO, and Azure) Data security support for local and cloud storage Network support Windows Desktop remote support using Powershell Support operational, technical, and system requirements for the location, installation, operation, and maintenance of Windows servers.Required Education/Training 2+ years of experience or relevant coursework in IT Help Desk or SupportRequired Skills Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software within Windows desktop environments Experience troubleshooting A/V equipment and connectivity issues Excellent communication skills, using appropriate business language to effectively provide timely information to appropriate parties as needed Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time to fulfill commitments Ability and willingness to learn new and unique software and hardware systems that are specific to our research environment Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and access confined spaces where cables are run/connected Implementation of security best practices Cloud service supportPreferred Additional Skills Network administration including but not limited to: TCP/IP unicast and multicast VLAN tagging and filtering Windows Server administration including but not limited to: Active Directory StorageDemonstrated scripting abilities (Powershell preferred) Software development experience Experience in A/V technology and systems including: Multicast video distribution WAN streaming video protocols Comfort on the Linux command line Interest or experience with: Sensor hardware design Computer vision ML/AI processes Data analysisHours & Benefits This is a full-time (40 working hours per week) or part-time (20-30 working hours per week) non-exempt position per FLSA standards.MediaScience offers a wide variety of benefits, including 401k, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, and more.Location In-person; Austin, TexasPay $20 per hourJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Help desk: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
