Description of Duties: The Linux Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: * Assist engineering efforts that provide engineering and technical direction for patching RedHat Enterprise Linux systems, register systems with Satellite and develop Ansible scripts. * Participate in efforts that develop recommendations and advice on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. * Support the Shared Services Delivery Team. * Work with Solutions Architecture to develop proposals and respond to customer requests. * Develop and maintain systems documentation, diagrams, changes, and standard operational procedures. * Participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution as necessary. This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO. This position is expected to pay $93,000 - $148,800 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
