Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This is a flexible position that offers the opportunity to work in multiple locations including Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, and Lowestoft. As a Mental Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate and person-centered care to individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans designed by the clinical team.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate professionals.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
  • Support individuals in daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Previous 6 months experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is required.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in mental health care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in work location and schedule.
  • Basic knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment methods.
