Boeing Satellite Division in El Segundo is currently seeking highly motivated Mid-Level Software Simulation Engineers with design and test experience to support software simulation and modeling, development, integration and test.
Develop architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software simulation systems supporting a diverse set of satellite platforms
Develop and integrate simulations components into a fully functional software simulation system, in a Linux environment, to meet a wide variety of mission goals and customers
Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments. Execute tests at multiple levels to verify software simulation performance
Serve as a subject matter expert for simulation software domains, support cross program development efforts, reviews and issue resolution
Ability to interface with various project teams, management, and Boeing technical support
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
4+ years software domain experience
5+ years experience with real-time software architecture and design methodologies
5+ years experience with C++ design, coding and test
5+ years experience developing simulation related software
5+ years experience with Software Testing or Software Verification
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Top Secret/SSBI desired
5 years C, scripting coding experience
5 years of experience developing real time simulation systems
Knowledge of Space Wire and/or 1553 interfaces
Familiarity with Atlassian tools or any set of CM tools
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
