Wells Fargo Merchant Services specializes in providing solutions such as credit card, debit card; check guarantee, e-commerce and gift cards to businesses of all sizes. WFMS is nationally recognized for its ingenuity and reputation as a leader in the electronics payments industry. 

The Merchant Services Development Team uses C#, .NET, T-SQL, and SQL Server 2012 (Database and Reporting Services) to provide mission-critical functionality for our customers.  Our team has also integrated our custom-coded solutions with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 to provide our customers with unique and efficient solutions. 

We are looking for a highly motivated inpidual to lead application development efforts and provides third-level production support for Merchant Services Applications. In this position, you will use SQL Server 2012 Business Intelligence Studio, Visual Studio 2015/2017 and ASP.NET to complete the design, coding, and configuration management of Merchant Services applications. In addition, this position will be responsible for unit testing and peer reviews of custom solutions.  This position will also be required to lead technical efforts that integrate our custom SOA services/ APIs with micro services using .NET CORE.

Other duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to create new or update existing functionality.  
  • Provides coding guidance to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code.
  • Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
  • Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. 
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. 
  • Using SQL Server 2012 Business Intelligence Studio, Visual Studio 2015/2017 and ASP.NET to complete the design, coding, and configuration management of Merchant Services applications.
  • Unit testing and peer reviews of custom solutions.
  • Lead technical efforts that integrate our custom SOA services or APIs with Micro Services using .Net Core
  • Attend and participate in AGILE Rituals to provide code faster and more efficient

These positions are available in Des Moines and Chandler AZ. 


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of .net experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • 1+ year of web client side development using Angular

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with a perse team
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: unit, integration, and system testing
  • Knowledge and understanding of XML (Extensible Markup Language)
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 3+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Entity Framework
  • Experience supporting or directing offshore teams
  • 2 + years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI or Angular JS)
