As an integral member of the Life Sciences Finance team, this Principal Analyst will be responsible for developing and driving insights and analytics for the Informatics cloud software business unit ($0.2B). This role will engage directly with the business unit teams to deliver actionable reporting that will help drive overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner cross-functionally with the Informatics business unit team to identify and implement value-added financial reporting

Enable business leadership to make informed and sound decisions by leveraging insights and data analytics

Provide financial support for monthly / quarterly reporting, forecasting, and annual planning processes

Drive financial modeling and scenario planning for strategic business cases, long-range plan, and ad hoc requests

Collaborate with the Life Sciences finance team and the global Commercial finance teams in preparation for business reviews, particularly focusing on KPIs and performance metrics

Develop enhanced tools to track and analyze sales, prime margin, OCOGS, and operating expenses on a recurring basis; identify trends, performance drivers, risks / opportunities, and mitigation plans

Lead automation and process improvement efforts throughout the business and finance function, optimize reporting, processes, and analytics to provide best-in-class business partnership

Basic Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ experience in Corporate Finance or Master’s degree in business management, accounting or finance with 2+ years’ experience.

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years’ experience in corporate finance for a multi-national, matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the software/technology or life sciences industry is strongly preferred

Possesses a strong sense of ethics and high level of integrity

Strategic thinker, self-starter with strong sense of ownership, bias for action and results, always driving improvements, simplification & transparency

Ability to prioritize, manage expectations, and deliver on commitments

Ability to communicate, partner, and influence both cross-functionally and in a matrixed environment across all levels of the organization

Executive presence and ability to work closely with the senior leadership team in a fast-paced environment

Must be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Pays attention to detail and accuracy of information

Familiarity with Netsuite, HFM, Essbase, TIBCO Spotfire, Salesforce and OpenAir a plus
