Located in the world class city of San Diego, this is an exceptional opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors and other key constituents at this $4.5 billion enterprise that is on solid financial footing.
Sharp HealthCare is a highly recognized integrated healthcare delivery system consistently recognized for their top decile performance in each of their seven pillars of excellence (Quality, Safety, Service, People, Finance, Growth and Community). The system includes four acute care hospitals, three specialty hospitals, three affiliated medical groups, a health plan, 26 outpatient clinics, six urgent care centers, three philanthropic foundations, acute rehab, sub-acute, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, and multiple outpatient/specialty services. Among its many awards and recognitions over the years, Sharp was one of the first health systems in the country to receive the Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award.
The next EVP/CFO will have full fiduciary responsibility for the system and the client will consider a variety of healthcare financial backgrounds with preferred experience in complex organizations with some element of risk/capitation. The EVP/CFO must be a forward-thinking leader who collaborates with the CEO and senior leadership to continue to define and articulate a clear vision to a wide variety of constituencies. Providing an appropriate balance between strategic and operational finance will be critical. A leader who has a genuine and authentic way with people is fundamental to success.
The base salary will be in the $700,000 – $1,100,000 range. Additional short and long term incentives are also an important part of this package as is a highly competitive relocation assistance program.
