Position Summary
The Product Owner provides a clear vision of the product that will be built. From the vision the Product Owner forms well defined user stories, prioritizes user stories and backlog and provides a clear-time line of the product. Maintains the technical integrity and quality of the features/components the team is responsible for. The Product Owner focuses on the end-user experience, needs and features that drive a roadmap to deliver their vision. Builds and maintains relationships that allow the Product Owner to act as the customer proxy. Uses influence to overcome hierarchal challenges.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure we manage continuous improvement and updates to our product roadmaps, vendor roadmaps for our Software Asset Management (SAM) suite of tools (Flexnet Manager, App Portal, and Data Platform)
Portfolio planning for the software asset management value stream and Flenet Manager and App Portal suite of tools.
Develop implementation plans and establish teams to introduce new technologies.
Ensure technologies are operationalized and are identified in terms of value realized.
Working with our Product Specialists provide IT architecture support for our Flexera tools (blueprints, designs, environment drawings, capacity plans, integrations)
Working with other Product Owners, ensure integrations are maintained and updated.
Lead complex and/or major software asset management projects with high corporate or functional priority
Act as a primary liaison between various departments, stakeholders, business community and lines of business
System Architect/engineer activities such as planning, defining high-level design of software solutions, define and design sub-systems and related interfaces, provide oversight for their platform and projects and build in continues improvements and quality.


High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
Job-related experience, 7 years

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience with Agile Methodology
Experience with Flexera and Software Asset Management
Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
Any of the following certifications: institute of Asset Management IAM or IAM Diploma
Six Sigma training\certification
Lean methodology training
Electric and Gas Utility experience
