This position will be responsible for various types of Software agreements, maintenance and related services across the enterprise. This position will also engage on more complex strategic agreements as needed under guidance of a senior team member in the software category and may be assigned other special projects. Leads cross functional teams to strategically select products and suppliers ensuring the best possible price, quality, service, and overall terms. Pursues opportunities to reduce costs, minimize risk and improve business conditions. Partners with internal stakeholders to identify and define their requirements. Drafts, negotiates and manages complex contracts. Provides on-going supplier relationship management.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Analyze various software cost models/options and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
May lead the negotiation and contract management of large-scale, enterprise-wide volume purchase software agreements under the guidance of senior team members.
Proactively strategize with business and technical owners to understand the needs of the organization.
Lead cross functional teams to develop meaningful requirements to ensure quality responses from suppliers.
Research and develop adequate sources of supply. Utilize supply market knowledge to leverage best strategy for Charter. Lead cross functional supplier selection activities through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes.
Evaluate the financial stability of potential suppliers.
Perform required business analysis with a strategic focus on total cost of ownership.
Provide fact-based recommendations to executive level management for constructing the best overall strategic buy decisions.
Continuously seek out cost savings opportunities and lead efforts to realize those savings.
Manage overall supplier performance including, acting as an escalation point in the event of non-performance.
Develop a strategic category plan based on an understanding of business goals and objectives, the supply market and competitive benchmarking. Effectively document, communicate and gain buy-in across the organization to ensure alignment.
Manage and influence all phases of change management.
Manage stakeholder groups through technology adoption.
Work beyond the traditional procurement metrics to achieve operational and technical improvements to the business process.
Perform other duties as requested.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Knowledge of various type of Software and related services including perpetual, term and subscription agreements, maintenance and support, and other IT products
In-depth knowledge and understanding of software contract terms and conditions
Strong understanding of different types of software and services
Strong understanding of information technology and software terminology
Strong negotiating skills with the ability to adapt and improvise
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and writing skills
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Strong internal stakeholder management skills capacity to listen, build trusting relationships in all levels of the organization, understand and capture stakeholders needs and deliver effective solutions
Thorough understanding of the P2P process and ability to identify appropriate solutions for spend categories
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience

The pay for this position has a minimum of $96,100.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
