The PositionWhat the job isIn this role, you will report to the Sr. Director, Strategy & Operation for Revenue as an S&O partner to the Twitter Developer Platform leadership team. The Developer Platform is one of the fastest growing areas at Twitter and serves the developers who build on the Twitter developer platform, with its ecosystem spanning across both commercial and non-commercial applications.At Twitter, Strategy & Operations is a high impact, high visibility team whose mission is to drive strategic alignment and operational improvements across the company. We partner with leadership to promote strategic decision-making and efficient execution of the corporate strategy thereby enabling high performing product development organizations that deliver on Twitter's purpose to Serve the Public Conversation.What you'll be doingSenior Manager, Strategy & Operations will drive the quarterly/annual planning and operational cadences, help prioritize critical issues, triage information to ensure effective decision making, and drive accountability and follow-through in execution of our corporate strategy.In general, the role has (but are not limited to) the following activities and expectations:* Drive and orchestrate the overall quarterly and annual strategic planning process for Developer Platform Team, including product roadmaps, goal setting, and investment planning* Participate as part of the leadership team, facilitating key decisions and driving execution across both product and business objectives* Communicate priorities, activities, and results to the larger team, while ensuring deliverables are met. Has a strong pulse and feedback loop on the team needs* Bring key insights that are broader than a function and trusted independent advice to Developer Platform leadership* Drive accountability for the delivery of the OKRs/roadmaps/deliverables* Manage the operational cadence & rhythm of the business (e.g., QBR, Quarterly Operational Cadence, Metrics Reviews) enabling Developer Platform to execute with speed and efficiency* Orchestrate effective change management of business transformation efforts and strategic priorities* Represent Developer Platform Team as key liaison in coordinating with other internal planning functions (e.g. Finance, HR, etc.)* Identifies and takes on ad hoc strategic projects - everything from defining new opportunities to executing cross-functional initiatives, both within the Developer Platform team and for Revenue S&O* Work across Revenue and broader Strategy & Operations teams to drive standardization and operational excellenceWhat it takesThe successful candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of Twitter's business strategies and operational processes, create new policies and processes as needed to improve business operations, and support the execution of Twitter's Company Objectives.The ideal candidate has experience working closely with senior executives, a high level of business acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and organizations.QualificationsWho you are:* Confident in technical conversations with Software Engineering and Product teams* Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle* Clear sense of ownership and are internally motivated to work hard to drive to meaningful results* Problem solver and strategic thinker who is comforspan using frameworks and data to help structure the team's thinking and solve multi-faceted problems* Intellectual curiosity and the insatiable urge to learn and grow as a person and professional every single day* Lead and influence across multiple levels, multiple functions, and multiple locations of an organization* Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you wear multiple hats* Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information* Demonstrated ability to build empathy across teams and organizations & drive solutions that drive alignment to shared goalsRequirements:* BA/BS degree or MBA* 10+ years of experience preferably with 5+ business strategy/planning/COO office at a consumer tech company* Extensive experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, adept at leading cross-functional teams to make strategic decisions and execute* Ability to communicate complex ideas (distill nuanced circumstances and drive to clarity) both orally and in written formats; strong writing and presentation skills* Experience in managing resourcing/staffing, and having worked directly with the VP level on a regular basis* Consistent track record with relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategy, or business operationsCompany DescriptionSr. Manager, Strategy & Operations will support Twitter's Developer Platform Product Lead to help shape the strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and deliver results through flawless execution of one of our top company initiatives.
