CTSI Employees

Collaboratively develops and implements programs to support clinical adoption, appropriate utilization and process optimization of advanced technology solutions at clinical sites, with a primary focus on quality and efficiency of patient care. Supports the development and maintenance of a data repository aimed at identifying best practices and potential impediments to technology adoption. Collaborates with other Varian experts to identify potential solutions (both technology and process based) to identified technology adoption impediments. Engages with customers in a constructive and supportive manner to impart the aforementioned knowledge toward the goal of supporting high-quality clinical adoption of advanced technology solutions. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and demonstrates Family-Centered Care principles when interacting with customers and with co-workers. This role will encompass client-site visits in addition to communication and mentoring of staff clinical physicists.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Up to 50-75% travel is required for this role
  • Actively contribute to the development of programmatic approaches toward support for clinical adoption of advanced technology solutions
  • Provide consultative support to clinical sites for new technology implementation after the applications training phase, including on-site support for system validation and clinical implementation as well as continuing dialogue and support until the site reaches program maturity
  • Contribute to the development of internal resources including but not limited to a data repository and sample process documents and QA templates in support of duties #1&2 shown above
  • Proactively maintain awareness of developments related to the team's program focus, including changes in practice patterns, competing technology solutions and related QA solutions
  • Varian Treatment, TPS and EMR systems
  • Write consulting report and communicate report to customer physicist in a supportive, non-critical manner
  • Provide clinical expertise in understanding and meeting specific customer needs
  • Participate in process improvement tasks and software development
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics or a closely related field required.
  • Home-office based & travel position (50-75% travel)
  • Board certification required (see Special Requirements below)
  • 5-7 years of experience in a clinical environment are required.
  • Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Radiology, the American Board of Medical Physics (ABR or ABMP) or other appropriate certifying body is required
  • Ability, competence, and confidence to deploy clinical best practices and to teach in a supportive manner.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with a variety of clinical radiation oncology platforms such as: Linear Accelerators, Surface Guidance, EMR and R&V systems, HDR afterloaders, Treatment Planning Systems, ion chambers, electrometers, image analysis software #LI-OS1
  • Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare training

    The base pay range for this position is

    Min $173,700 - Max $312,600

    The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
